  • Construction

    Strength
The LRC58 structure is strong without being over-engineered. She is stiffened with 8mm transverse frames and full-length girders and stringers.
The hull bottom panel is 8mm thick, the topsides are 6mm and the deck is 5mm.
The keel provides directional stability as well as good protection for the propeller and rudder. A propeller tunnel enables a shallow propeller shaft angle of only two degrees.

    Stability
The LRC58 has a low center of gravity which makes for a stiff boat underway at sea. She has a reassuring firm ride. The hull shape provides the stability. The LRC58 is self-righting from a knockdown.

The workshop access is through a hatch in the starboard side cockpit locker; a ladder leads to a workbench with a vice, power points, and tool storage. The workshop has room for a washer/dryer and freezer or a second (day) head, or it can be changed into a cabin.
There is a soundproof door into the engine room from the workshop and good soundproofing throughout the ER. The 75-90 hp engine has dual fuel filters and an easy-to-use transfer system. There is also space for a 220V generator, a water maker, and a Kabola diesel heater that produces hot water.
The electrical system (24V) is professionally designed and installed. The service batteries (525Ah@24V and up) have found a spot outside the engine room.
The engine room systems are protected by a certified fire protection system.
All systems are within easy reach for maintenance.

  • Cockpit, wheelhouse, salon and stateroom

The cockpit and wheelhouse are on one level, for easy, indoor-outdoor flow. The wheelhouse galley has a full-size fridge, a microwave, and/or electrical oven. There is a choice to use induction or natural gas cooking. Opposite the galley, there is either a U-shaped settee or an L-shaped settee with a comfortable single or double helm seat.
A few steps from the forward end of the wheelhouse leads to the amidships saloon. It is a private and comfortable space with an L-shaped settee that converts to a double berth. Windows at seated eye height let in the light. An optional small desk and chair provide the office space.
A large en suite head with a separate shower is off this area. Forward, through a bulkhead, is the master stateroom with a double bed.
